Village cross. Possibly late medieval (“medieval shaft with Tudor ball on top”: Pevsner). Sandstone. Octagonal base of 3 high steps, approx. 4 metres in diameter; low octagonal pedestal, and stop-chamfered shaft with moulded cap and ball finial. Prominently sited near junction with Pontefract Road.
